Julius Karl D. Fieve is an innovative International Development Specialist with over 11 years of experience in the non-profit sector, driving impactful initiatives across Africa. He has a proven track record in research and analysis, project management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), financial inclusion, gender programming and womenā€™s economic empowerment, and knowledge management.
Julius leveraged extensive experience in Africa and developing countries’ economic empowerment and spearheaded initiatives that expanded financial access for marginalized individuals, including women and refugees.
As a Research and Knowledge Coordinator at Opportunity International, Julius managed high-level analyses on poverty dynamics and provided technical leadership on the implementation of financial inclusion interventions, increasing access to financial products and services to over 100,000 poor and extreme poor households and smallholder farmers in 32 countries. He previously worked with the Mastercard Foundation, where he assisted the Gender Lead to build the capacity of partners to effectively engage women, people with disabilities, refugees, and displaced youth in their programs and amplify learning and knowledge exchange.
Juliusā€™s expertise extends to managing multi-million-dollar budgets, developing strategic frameworks, and conducting gender-focused evaluations. He holds two masterā€™s degreesā€”MSc in Africa and International Development from the University of Edinburgh as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar and MSc in Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Julius is committed to fostering gender equality, financial inclusion, and sustainable development, making him a transformative leader in global development initiatives.
Julius likes reading, visiting tourist sites, watching football, and engaging communities around a developmental course during his leisure time.
