Victor is a seasoned professional with 18 years of experience in the capital markets of Africa. He is a specialist in sustainable finance, with a focus on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and impact investing. He has played a key role in the issuance of various securities, including green bonds, green sukuk, gender bonds, climate-aligned infrastructure bonds, and climate finance special purpose vehicles (SPVs) in Africa. In addition to his expertise in sustainable finance, Victor is a market infrastructure specialist, leading the implementation of the Ethiopia Securities Exchange and other exchanges in Africa. He also coordinates FSD Africa’s support to InfraCredit to catalyze investments in green infrastructure projects and bridge financing to enterprises in the construction stage.

Victor’s professional background includes serving as the General Manager Securities at the State Bank of Mauritius (SBM) Kenya, where he was responsible for bank treasury management. He has also been actively involved in capital market development, serving as a member of the Capital Markets Master Plan Steering Committee, which designed the 10-year Capital markets Master plan for Kenya. He has also been a member of various market forums and committees, including serving as a resource person for fixed-income training in the sub-Saharan Africa region through regional stock exchanges and the Macroeconomic and Financial Management Institute of Eastern and Southern Africa (MEFMI). Prior to joining SBM Bank, he served as the Head of Fixed Income at SBG Securities Kenya under the Standard Bank Group, leading the issuance of corporate bonds and fixed-income secondary market trading.

Victor holds a Master of Leadership in Sustainable Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management in Germany and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the Africa Nazarene University in Kenya. He is committed to promoting sustainable investing and building trust with investors through transparency and accountability.
