Grace is an impact-investing enthusiast with 14 years of experience in sustainable finance, SMEs finance and risk consulting in the financial sector within Africa.
She worked with the African Guarantee Fund for SMEs (AGF) as a Business Development Officer in charge of the Southern Africa Region; originating and managing a pipeline of guarantee businesses (from debt and equity financing) in various sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, and construction, particularly in green finance, women and youth-owned SMEs.
She has also worked at AGF as an Internal Auditor, setting up the Internal Control Department and controls within the organization, from providing internal audit, business process reengineering, compliance, enterprise risk management, and other advisory services.
Prior to joining AGF, she worked with KPMG East Africa as a Risk Consultant, providing internal audit, risk management, and compliance services to various clients in the financial institutions, not-for-profit, manufacturing, oil and gas, education, and health sectors.
Grace has conducted her work and progressively gained her professional experience in countries such as Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Togo, Malawi, Ethiopia, Zambia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Namibia.
Grace holds Master’s of Leadership in Sustainable Finance (Frankfurt), MBA in Strategic Management (USIU) and Bachelor’s Degree in International Business Administration (USIU).
She also holds certificates in Climate and Sustainable Energy Finance (Frankfurt), Climate Adaptation Finance (Frankfurt), ESG and Impact Investing (Frankfurt), Market, Liquidity, and Asset Liability Management Risk Manager (PRMIA), and PMP (PMI).
