We have partnered with Agence UMOA-Titres (AUT), the regional debt management office in the West Africa Monetary Union (WAMU) to develop the region’s bond markets, to support the member states’ treasuries in debt management and to introduce professional certification through the globally renowned Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI).
The programme is developing a 5-year strategic plan that will better equip AUT in the debt management of support of member states , as well as a management information system that will incorporate treasury and debt monitoring, market watch analysis, a trading platform and risk monitoring. This partnership will enable greater access to long-term capital for the real and social economic sectors in the WAMU.
