In partnership with specialist think-tank Cenfri, we support financial-sector supervisors and industry players in interpreting and implementing risk-based approaches. This approach is aimed at reducing the levels of financial exclusion resulting from anti-money laundering (AML) and countering financing of terrorism (CFT) compliance in sub-Saharan African countries. We are also working to raise awareness of the issues and consequences of illicit financial flows.
The Financial Integrity programme is one part of a 5-year joint initiative between FSD Africa and Cenfri, called Risk, Remittances and Integrity (RRI). As part of this programme, we support innovation by helping industry and regulators navigate and respond appropriately to emerging fintech business models.
