The Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) is the leading global professional body for securities, investment, wealth and financial planning professionals. The Institute was formed in 1992 by London Stock Exchange practitioners, and today boasts a global community of 45,000 members in 111 countries.
FSD Africa’s programme with the CISI is designed to support African regulators and market participants to attain the knowledge and skills for the securities, investment and financial planning sector. The CISI programme is supporting countries with the growth of capital markets and the financial services and development of a local training capacity. In addition, the programme also seeks to promote capital markets as a profession, the “professionalization” of individuals through commitment to continuing professional development, the establishment of a code of conduct and the promotion of integrity within the industry.
