Lucy Nyoike

Lucy Nyoike brings extensive expertise in strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement, climate action advocacy, and program management, honed through senior-level roles at leading global development and philanthropic institutions. She leverages her deep understanding of Africa’s ecosystems, organizational development, and advocacy to drive meaningful change and sustainable outcomes across the continent.
Lucy has successfully managed complex multi-stakeholder partnerships, spearheaded influential advocacy campaigns, and navigated high-level diplomatic engagements during her roles at The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP), The Rockefeller Foundation, the Africa Climate Summit Secretariat, and the Africa Energy Summit Secretariat. Her leadership was instrumental in various Africa-wide initiatives, demonstrating her exceptional capability to align diverse stakeholders around shared goals.

Lucy’s strategic acumen and commitment to partnership-driven development enable her to effectively cultivate relationships with governments, development finance institutions, and private sector entities. She holds a Master of Science in Management and Organizational Development from the United States International University and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Science from Kenyatta University.
As Assistant Director in the CEO’s Office at FSD Africa, Lucy drives the execution of the organization’s five-year strategy, driving organisational alignment and cross-pillar collaboration. She actively cultivates and strengthens strategic partnerships and coordinates governance processes, including board engagement and high-level meetings. Lucy also champions strategic communication, thought leadership, and innovation, and provides advisory support to the CEO, ensuring impactful decision-making and programme effectiveness.

Mark Napier

Mark is the CEO of FSD Africa. Marks early career (1989-2003) was in investment banking in the City of London where he advised growth companies on M&A and capital raising. He has now been involved in financial sector development in Africa for well over a decade.

From 2004-2009 he was CEO of FinMark Trust, based in Johannesburg. He then moved back to London where he became an independent consultant specialising in financial sector development in developing countries, mainly in Africa. He joined CDC, the UKs development finance institution, as Director of Investment Innovation from 2011-2012 and moved to Nairobi to set up FSD Africa up in December 2012.

Mark has written papers and articles on financial sector development and was commissioning editor for a 2010 book of case studies on financial innovation in Africa Real Money, New Frontiers. He has an MA in modern languages from Cambridge University.

 

Mural Omollo

Mural is a dynamic professional driven by a passion for exploration, whether it’s discovering new concepts, delving into complex ideas, or finding innovative solutions. The excitement of learning and the joy of helping others are her major motivators.
Her diverse background spans across program assistance, consultancy in the ICT sector, telecommunication, and electrical maintenance, with a robust skill set particularly focused on customer-facing support.
Over the past five months, she worked as the Assistant Programmes-FSD Network, where she served as a maternity reliever. During that period, she offered general administrative support to the Gender CoPro Team, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the team’s goal.
Mural’s dedication to continuous learning and her ability to adapt to new challenges make her committed to leveraging her skills and experience to drive innovation and contribute to FSD Africa’s mission.
