The Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (“the Fund” or “GIIF”) is a body corporate wholly owned by the Republic of Ghana and established pursuant to the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund Act, 2014 (Act 877). The Fund’s mandate is to mobilize, manage, coordinate, and provide financial resources for investment in a diversified portfolio of infrastructure projects in Ghana for national development.

GIIF plans to establish a Climate Sub-Fund (CSF) to mobilise investment into climate-focused infrastructure across mitigation, adaptation, and circular economy, in support of Ghana’s broader climate and development priorities. The CSF is intended to serve as an investment-ready vehicle that attracts institutional, development, and climate-aligned capital to resilient, low-carbon infrastructure opportunities, with an initial target fund size of US$100 million.

Financial Sector Deepening Africa (FSD Africa), a specialist development agency funded by the UK Government, is supporting GIIF in establishing the CSF. FSD Africa works to reduce poverty by strengthening financial markets across sub-Saharan Africa.
