Ginger is a banking and finance lawyer with over five years’ experience advising development finance institutions (DFIs), international lenders, impact investors and private sector clients on complex cross-border financing and investment transactions across Africa.

Prior to joining FSD Africa, Ginger was an Associate in the Banking and Finance Practice at Bowmans Kenya, where she advised on sophisticated debt, investment and project finance transactions across multiple African jurisdictions. Her work involved structuring and negotiating financing documentation, coordinating multi-jurisdictional transactions, conducting legal due diligence, advising on regulatory and security matters, and managing transactions from inception to financial close.

Throughout her career, Ginger has advised on transactions across the financial services, healthcare, renewable energy, infrastructure, technology and real estate sectors. She has advised development finance institutions, impact investors and international financial institutions on complex syndicated lending, blended finance, project finance and cross-border investment transactions, working closely with clients and counsel across multiple African jurisdictions to deliver commercially focused legal solutions.

Ginger holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Nairobi and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
