FSD Africa, in partnership with ICEA Lion Group, supported the launch of the Nairobi Declaration on Sustainable Insurance by UN Environment Programme’s Principles for Sustainable Insurance Initiative (PSI) during the 4th PSI African Market Event on 22 April 2021. We held the first C-Suite meeting in Nairobi in February to mobilise the Africa insurance industry to support the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and to lobby signatories to the declaration. We are now organising a C-Suite meeting in South Africa in partnership with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FCSA) to bring together South African Insurance CEOs, Board of Directors and the Regulators to create awareness, discuss the opportunities for innovation for sustainable insurance and get the insurance sector to sign on the Nairobi Declaration on Sustainable Insurance.
