In partnership with African Development Bank, Making Finance Work for Africa, and the German Development Cooperation (BMZ/GIZ), we are delighted to announce the launch of the new Africa Long-Term Finance Initiative website. This initiative aims to boost the intermediation of long-term finance in Africa and close the financing gap for SMEs, housing and infrastructure on the continent.
The website will not only serve as a platform for information exchange relating to long-term finance in Africa but also assemble information about good practices and success stories in the long-term finance space. The aim is to improve market intelligence on long-term finance in Africa and establish an interactive platform to enable cross-fertilization of country experiences in this area.
Join us on 8 July at 12 p.m. GMT for a special virtual launch to learn more about the current state of long-term finance in Africa. The webinar will introduce participants to the website, and offer insights on how it could be used as an information repository on Africa’s long-term finance markets. Participants will also hear from leading financial sector experts and thought leaders as they discuss the bottlenecks and opportunities to increasing the provision of long-term finance in Africa.
