Faith Temba is a seasoned development professional with over a decade of experience in climate finance and carbon markets. She has worked across the carbon market value chain—including project development, due diligence, policy and advocacy, and offtake—within both the Voluntary Carbon Market and the UNFCCC framework.
Faith brings a unique 360-degree perspective, having worked as both a project developer and intermediary. She has led the design and implementation of renewable energy, clean cooking, Nature-based Solutions, and waste management programmes, combining technical know-how with strong skills in project management, financial accountability, and impact monitoring.
Her career reflects a deep commitment to advancing African priorities in carbon markets. She has collaborated with governments, private sector actors, civil society, and development partners to co-create innovative, integrity-driven carbon market solutions. She has convened multi-stakeholder dialogues on carbon pricing, digital MRV, and benefit-sharing frameworks.
As a policy contributor, Faith has supported the Office of Kenya’s Special Climate Envoy for Climate Change, authoring briefs, shaping advocacy strategies, and representing institutions in high-level forums. Her work has influenced continental carbon market strategies—helping define a cohesive African position on carbon markets.
Faith holds a BSc in Energy Engineering and Master’s degrees in Waste and Resource Management and Globalisation and Development. She is passionate about unlocking carbon markets as a catalyst for sustainable development and inclusive green growth across Africa.
