Wanjiru has over 5 years’ experience in the international development space across several sectors in Sub-Saharan Africa, with prior experience in banking.

Before joining FSD Africa, Wanjiru worked as an associate consultant in Instiglio, a development consulting firm where she specialised in scoping, designing and evaluating results-based financing projects. Most relevant for her role in FSD Africa, Wanjiru supported the setup of a performance management system for the Education Outcomes Fund in Ghana and the design of a toolkit to promote firm competitiveness for jobs and economic transformation at the subnational level in Kenya in her previous role.

She holds a Master’s degree in International Development and a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial economics. She also holds certificates in complementary fields.

Outside of work, Wanjiru enjoys the great outdoors from traveling, sports and spending time with loved ones.
