Lucy Kimeu has over eight years of experience across audit, consulting, and investments, spanning both SMEs and investment funds.

She previously served as an Investment Officer at I&P’s FASA Fund, an Africa-focused agricultural fund-of-funds, where she led coverage for East Africa and was actively involved in sourcing, screening, conducting due diligence, and deploying capital into investment vehicles across the African continent. She was also part of the team deploying the Mastercard Foundation Africa Growth Fund, a USD 200 million catalytic fund-of-funds supporting gender-diverse first-time and emerging fund managers across Africa.

In addition, Lucy played a key role in managing I&P Afrique Entrepreneurs (IPAE)’s direct investment portfolio in East Africa, her responsibilities including board participation, investor reporting and relations, ESG support, and the management of Technical Assistance facilities.

Prior to joining I&P, she gained experience in audit and venture investing at PwC Kenya, Enza Capital, and TLcom Capital.

Lucy holds a Master’s in Management (Distinction) from Norwich Business School, University of East Anglia, and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Finance), from Strathmore University. She is an ACCA Affiliate, a graduate of the Africa Venture Finance Program from the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, and a Newton Fellow at London Business School.

Lucy is an Afro-optimist with a strong conviction in the African continent’s long-term growth prospects and the importance of channelling capital to build resilient local investment ecosystems. She is deeply committed to bridging the gender financing gap by supporting emerging local fund managers and founders.
