Mireille Ferrari

Director, Strategic Communications and Engagement

Mireille Ferrari is FSD Africa’s Director of Strategic Communications and Engagement. She leads the organisation’s efforts to communicate its mission with clarity and impact, deepen relationships with partners and donors, and position FSD Africa as a leading voice in shaping Africa’s financial sector.

Mireille brings nearly 20 years of experience in strategic communications with organisations including the International Livestock Research Institute, the World Food Programme in Somalia, the Asian Development Bank, and the Centre for International Forestry Research. She has also designed and led public information and behaviour change campaigns with Sayara Strategies in Afghanistan, collaborating with governments, NGOs, and UN agencies. Earlier in her career, she worked in banking across Europe and Asia and in the creative industries in the United States of America, experience that gives her a global and multidisciplinary perspective.

She is recognised for combining analytical clarity with creative strategy, translating complex issues into communications that resonate with diverse audiences.

Mireille holds a BA in Politics from the University of Durham and an MA in Media, Ethics and Social Change from the University of Sussex. She is based in Nairobi with her family.
