Alex is an investment professional with over 5 years of experience in finance and investments with a focus on fund management, financial modelling, investment analysis, early- and growth-stage venture building and investment readiness support. His experience spans multiple sectors including agribusiness, renewable energy, climate-tech, circular economy, and energy efficiency across Africa.
He has played a key role in closing catalytic investments and supporting portfolio companies through post-investment engagement, reporting, and investment strategy development. Prior to joining FSD Africa, Alex managed a pre-seed and seed investment fund at E4lmpact Foundation that supported high-potential Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs) across multiple sectors. In this role, he led pipeline development, conducted due diligence, prepared investment papers for investment committee and led deal structuring.
Alex has a bachelor’s degree in Financial Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and a CPA certification. He successfully completed the ANDE Investment Manager Training (IMT) Course (2024 Cohort) to deepen his knowledge and skillset in the dynamic African investment landscape.
