Godwin is an enthusiastic and personable HR professional, self-motivated, dependable in nature, reliable and trusted person in my area of profession.
He previously worked and volunteered with different NGOs and BPOs which operate both locally and Internationally. Most recently, he was at FSD Africa as an HR Intern. Before that he had worked with Majorel Kenya and with the Youth Café Africa both in HR departments. Among the projects, he pioneered in the informal housing development programme organised by UN-Habitat, University of the Fraser Valley – Canada and TYC as a recruiter and supervisor of the participants of the program.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and technology.
His hobbies include music production, videography and events MC.
Brenda is an all-round HR professional with over 13 years’ experience in Human Resources Management in generalist and specialist roles. Her work experience spans across sectors and countries in the East and Central Africa region. She has worked in Banking, FMCG Telecommunications and International Development/Humanitarian sectors.
She joins us from World Food Programme (WFP) Somalia Country Office where she was Head of HR Operations and Deputy Head of HR. Brenda worked at WFP from 2019 and was instrumental in developing and implementing impactful Talent initiatives including an employee recognition programme, a mentorship programme, and a graduate trainee programme. She also led initiatives to simplify and automate HR services to enhance employee experience.
Brenda holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Administration from Strathmore University and a Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management from the College of Human Resources Management, Kenya. She holds a PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate and is a certified Occupational Personality Assessor (SHL) and Job Evaluator (Hay Group). Brenda is a member of the professional Human Resources body in Kenya (Institute of Human Resources Management).
In her free time Brenda enjoys reading for leisure, personal development and taking nature walks.
Mercy has 5 years experience in Human Resource consulting drawn from offering advisory services to companies in private and public sector space in East Africa region.
She previously worked as a Human Resource Advisor for KPMG Advisory Services Limited where she was supporting clients in different sectors in organisation design, recruitment and selection, development/review of HR policies and procedures and performance management.
Before KPMG, she worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd (PwC) as an associate Human Resource consultant within the People and Change Unit. Her role involved working in projects covering executive search and selection, organization structure review, job analysis and evaluation, salary surveys, skills analysis and performance management.
Mercy has a Bachelors degree in Commerce from the University of Nairobi, a Higher Diploma from the College of Human Resource Management and has a membership to the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
Mercy enjoys travelling and spending time with family.
Allison has 9 years experience in Human Resource – Learning and Development from the NGO and financial sector. In her role, she is responsible for building out and delivering a suitable learning and development strategy for the Network. The key goal of her role is to ensure FSD Network staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve the ambitious FSD2.0 strategy.
Allison previously worked with the Norwegian Refugee Council where she spearheaded the learning and development advisory services within the Eastern African and Yemen region. She supported learning in different demographics to imbed a culture of learning and capacity building for all staff within the region.
Prior to joining NRC, she worked at Medicines San Frontiers (MSF) as their Learning and development manager for their Kenya program. She actively played a critical role in the inception of this department to support over 700 staff in their different projects across the country. She provided learning expertise on key medical learning initiatives, recruitment of key medical staff, instituted a performance management system to improve performance and support development of staff amongst other key roles.
In her early career, she worked in the financial sector providing learning coordination services at Stanbic Bank which lay the foundation on the governing protocols and procedures in learning and development as a discipline.
Allison has a Masters Degree in Organizational Development, a higher diploma in Human Resources, a bachelors degree in Psychology and is a certified CMA Coach.
Prior to joining FSD Africa, Hellen was the Regional Director of Human Resources Africa MENA for RTI International. Over the course of her career and with over 20 years of leadership experience in HR, she has managed and supported midsize and large, complex organizations with global employees, and has had the privilege of working in mission-driven organizations in the services, healthcare and non-profit sectors.
Hellen earned a Masters degree in Global HR Management from the University of Liverpool (UK) and in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi (Kenya). She also holds a Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Nairobi. Hellen has an HRBP professional certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
Hellen has honed her areas of expertise in employee relations, performance management and talent retention.
In her role at FSD Africa, she is responsible for creating and administering innovative HR programmes, policies, and systems to optimize talent management for FSD Africa and, on a regional level, for supporting the FSD Network in this area as well.
Hellen grew up in Nairobi where she resides with her husband and two kids. She enjoys the outdoors and spends her weekends doing some recreational running. She also loves cooking and is not shy to try her hand at a new recipe. Hellen also has basic proficiency in the French language from Alliance Franaise, Nairobi.
