UNDP manages BIOFIN under its Ecosystems and Biodiversity Programme and is financed by the European Union and the Governments of Belgium, Canada, Flanders, Germany, Norway, Switzerland and the UK. It supports countries in designing and implementing national biodiversity finance plans based on its core methodology, the BIOFIN Workbook.

The conference aims to facilitate experience sharing and technical discussions among all 41 BIOFIN countries, creating a platform for lively discussions about results from BIOFIN implementation to inform global audiences and future initiatives and explore opportunities for biodiversity finance solutions and investments in BIOFIN countries and the regions.
