During this week, Kelvin Massingham and Dorothy Maseke are attending New York Climate Week 2023. One significant event they are participating in is the launch of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) Recommendations at the New York Stock Exchange. The African Natural Capital Alliance (ANCA) played a crucial role in testing the TNFD beta framework in Africa, providing invaluable insights and expertise to ensure that the framework incorporates the distinct African perspective on nature.

ANCA’s involvement in the TNFD beta framework consisted of active participation in the TNFD Africa pilot program. This dynamic group included 16 Financial Institutions from six African countries, comprising banks, insurers, and asset managers.
