Jeremiah is a development professional with over 20 years of experience spanning management consultancy, programme management, international development, investment attraction, institutional strengthening, and decentralization.
Prior to joining FSDA, he served as the Team Leader for the County Green Project Preparation Facility
(CGPPF) at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), an initiative funded by FSD Kenya that supports 10 counties to develop climate mitigation and adaptation projects to investor-ready and investment-grade status in order mobilise funding from public, multilateral, and private sources. At PwC, he also led the UK-funded Kenya Devolution Programme (KDP), which strengthened capacity of select counties in public finance, human resources, performance management, revenue generation, and economic sectors such as trade, investment, and the blue economy.
Jeremiah has also worked with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) as the National Expert, National Expert for Investment Pipeline Development under the Circular Economy in the County Aggregation and Industrial Park Programme funded by the Government of Norway. In this role, he developed investment pipelines and prospectuses for Nyamira County, focusing on the banana value chain, and for Laikipia County, focusing on the beef value chain. In addition, he worked with Tetra Tech International Development Limited and Kenya Climate Innovation Centre Consulting (KCL) Limited as the Institutional Strengthening Lead and Governance Advisor, respectively, under the Sustainable Urban Economic Development (SUED) Programme. The £70 million, five-year programme, supported by the UK Government and International Climate Finance through FCDO, assisted 12 fast-growing municipalities in Kenya to develop sustainable urban economic plans and attract investment for critical infrastructure and high-potential value chain projects.
From 2015 to 2019, as a Manager at PwC, he led major public and private sector assignments, including strategic planning for Nairobi City County and the Nairobi Securities Exchange, performance management systems for multiple counties, and frameworks applied across all 47 counties. Earlier roles include Director at Kisii County Government and Branch Manager at the Kenya Institute of Management.
He holds an MBA in Strategic Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics, and a Diploma in Human Resource Management. He is a certified Monitoring and Evaluation expert, a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and a full member of the Kenya Institute of Management.
