Mary Kashangaki

Assistant Manager, Digital Innovation

Prior to joining FSD Africa, Mary was the Global Program Coordinator for Living Goods – a community health NGO with operations in Kenya, Uganda, Sierra Leone and Burkina Faso. Over the course of her career, she has worked with organizations in the development sector and the financial markets in Kenya.

Mary holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Financial Economics from Strathmore University and earned her Master’s degree in International Development Studies from Université Grenoble Alpes in France.  She is also a certified Prince2 Practitioner.

In her new role at FSD Africa, Mary will combine her experience and knowledge in finance and development as well as her excellent project management skills to contribute to the achievement of our strategic goals. She will be responsible for the smooth running of the project and general administrative functions of the Network Directorate pillar.

Mary is passionate about building the community around her and is the founder of Mwinawa – a young women’s group that encourages and supports the growth of its members and carries out several community-service projects. In her free time, her love for planning crosses over into her personal life where she often takes the lead in organizing birthdays, bridal showers and trips for her family and friends. She also loves the outdoors and is looking forward to adopting a puppy she can take to little Karura on the weekends.

Mary looks forward to learning from and working with, a team of experts focused on improving the lives of Africa’s poor as part of the FSD Africa family.
