Assistant, Financial Analysis and Planning

Mercy has over four years of experience in finance, programme management, and financial analysis, with experience supporting donor-funded programmes and working across finance, programme, and stakeholder management functions. Her experience includes budget monitoring, financial reconciliations, donor and grant financial reporting, audit support, procurement coordination, and data analysis.

Prior to joining FSD Africa, Mercy worked at KCB Foundation, where she supported programmes funded by organisations including Mastercard Foundation, GIZ, the Gates Foundation, and KCB Group. In her finance and programme roles, she supported budget monitoring and expenditure tracking, BVA analysis, budget forecasting, donor reporting, financial reconciliations, grant management, and partner financial reviews. She also coordinated programme implementation across multiple counties and worked with implementing partners and internal teams to support programme delivery and financial accountability. Her experience includes using ERP and data management systems such as Oracle.

Mercy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Kenyatta University and is a CPA Advanced Level candidate at RCM College. She also holds the Financial Modelling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA®) and Business Intelligence and Data Analytics (BIDA™) certifications from the Corporate Finance Institute. She is passionate about continuous learning and looks forward to further developing her expertise in financial planning and analysis while contributing to FSD Africa’s work.
