Warucu Itotia is a Senior Manager, Operations with over 15 years of experience. She thrives in customer-focused environments and consistently ensures that timescales and quality standards are upheld.
At FSD Africa, Warucu plays a central role in enabling the effective delivery of programmes by ensuring that operational systems, processes and controls are fit for purpose and consistently applied. She works closely with programme teams on the structuring and implementation of grants, one of FSD Africa’s core instruments for addressing systemic challenges across sub-Saharan Africa, ensuring they are operationally sound, compliant, and aligned with organisational and donor requirements. In addition, she leads the operations function, overseeing administrative services and office management to support the organisation as it scales.
Warucu also plays a key role in operational governance, providing coordination and support to senior leadership and the Management Committee, and contributing to the strengthening of institutional processes, decision-making frameworks and internal controls. Her work spans contracting, and organisational systems, with a strong focus on efficiency, consistency, and audit readiness.
She has been with FSD Africa since its inception, where she was instrumental in building systems and establishing operational processes, leading key aspects of business operations, including procurement and human resources.
Prior to joining FSD Africa, she worked in both the FMCG sector and the hospitality industry. She holds a BSc in Hotel Management, a Higher Diploma in Human Resources, and is a certified PRINCE2 Practitioner.
