She has 9+years’ of experience in Operations in NGO and Private sector organizations having worked extensively with different donors such as USAID,FCDO ad UNHCR
She is an avid reader of fictional espionage novels and satirical classics: and a cartoon lover. Carolyne is also a novice hiker and Cyclist.
Kibet has over 8 years’ hands on extensive IT sector experience in designing, managing, and providing technical support in Kenya and Sub-Saharan Africa Region. An adaptable individual, offering significant strategic management experience, having managed medium to large scale projects from initial project scope design through to completion.
An accomplished professional with exceptional end user hardware/telecoms and cloud-based services knowledge; guaranteeing optimum delivery of IT services, pro-actively managing resource levels preventing resource shortages or surpluses, as well as customer focused support services to all users by providing a mix of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support.
Prior to joining FSD Africa, worked with Education Development Trust as the IT Analyst for Sub-Saharan Africa region and was responsible for managing and providing IT Technical support for all the staff in Sub-Saharan Africa including staff in remote offices and remote based users, often in challenging environments.
Before joining Education Development Trust, worked with Jamii Telecommunication Ltd (JTL) as a NOC Support – Field Engineer, Responsible for Fiber client connections on HFC and GPON networks.
Kibet hold a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and currently pursuing Master of Science in Information Systems Security at Strathmore University and Certified Cloud Security Professional at ISC2.
With over 8 years of extensive experience, Connie’s commitment to excellence, strategic thinking, and a dedication to delivering value in every engagement continues to be demonstrated through strategic supplier management, regulatory compliance, contracts management and stakeholder collaboration. She has previous experience in working with donor funded organisations.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Moi University and is a member of CIPS.
Samson is an operations, procurement, and supply chain professional with over 13 years’ experience, largely in not for profit/ International development sector. He has a keen interest on leveraging digital technology to improve on business processes and sustainability.
At FSD Africa, Samson leads the procurement function in developing, executing, and managing effective procurement strategies in support of the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
Previously, Samson worked with FCDO, USAID and CDC/PEPFAR funded organizations implementing health and development projects across Africa with the latest assignment being a Procurement & Commodity Security Manager at International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).
Samson holds Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) from Moi University, MBA (Strategic Management) Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) and Advanced Diploma from Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supplies -UK (CIPS) amongst other qualifications. He is also a CIPS Certified member.
Rahab is a constantly evolving Tech enthusiast with over 10 years of experience in among others; fintech, digital transformation, IT strategy, Strategic and agile IT project management, IT governance and IT Security. Rahab is passionate about pioneering and growing IT departments as well as mentoring women in the technology space.
She worked at Tala as the IT Manager for Kenya and providing remote support for the business and staff in Mexico, Philippines and India. Rahab began the IT department and did everything from growing and managing a top-tier KE IT Support team; to negotiating and partnering with local vendors on core services like internet, telephony, and power; to rollout and maintenance of a global IT Helpdesk, networking systems, and a global auto-dialer.
Rahab has built and scaled the IT departments for Sidai Africa Limited (A social enterprise serving BOP farmers and agrovet owners), 4G Capital (formerly AFB Smart-Cash) and Jumo Kenya Limited (Formerly AFB Mobile) Rahab has extensive experience setting up IT operations, processes and systems that are resilient, scalable and secure.
Rahab has a degree in Telecommunications and Information Technology from Kenyatta University (KU) as well as a masters degree in business administration with a focus on Management Information Systems from the University of Nairobi (UoN). Rahab is looking forward to this new chapter to grow and strengthen the technology stack, systems and processes at FSD Africa.
Warucu is an operations management professional with over 15 years of experience who thrives in customer-focused situations and ensures timescales and quality are consistently upheld.
As the Operations Manager, Warucu has three main spheres of responsibility: supporting the teams in implementing grants, one of the instruments by which FSD Africa seeks to address systemic challenges in SSA Africa, leading the operations team to provide effective administrative and office management support for the FSD Africa team and providing support to the Management, Network committees, and at high-profile events.
She has been with FSD Africa since its inception, helping build systems and managing the business’s operations, procurement and HR aspects from 2013 -2020. Warucu previously worked for an FMCG and in the hotel industry before joining FSD Africa. She holds a BSc degree in Hotel Management, a Higher Diploma in HR, and is a certified Prince2 Practione
Matt joined FSD Africa as Chief Operations Officer in 2015. Based in Kenya for 25 years, he has established technology start-up companies in East Africa and provided management consultancy services to, among others, a pan-African IT distribution company prior to acquisition.
He was formerly National Director of SOS Childrens Villages, Kenya and now helps steer operational support for FSD Africa and coordinate shared services across the FSD Network.
